This is a 6-week one-on-one class designed for students with little to no pottery experience. You will be the only student in class to allow for dedicated personalized instruction. If you’ve been curious about working on the wheel but haven’t had the opportunity to begin, this class offers a great introduction with personal instruction.
You’ll learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing, including centering, forming, and glazing pieces. By the end of the course, you can expect to take home a small collection of work, such as a bowl, mug, and vase.
Class 1: Learn to center and create a vessel that will hold water.
Class 2: Making bowls and learning to wedge clay.
Class 3: Trimming and making cylinders.
Class 4: Making vases.
Class 5: Making and attaching handles, trimming vase and cylinder.
Class 6: Glazing.
All materials are included, including clay, glazes, and firing.
Students also receive a 10% discount in the shop at the conclusion of the course.
Classes are held on Sundays, with sessions available starting at 10am, 12:30pm, or 3pm.

You’ll focus on developing consistency and control while expanding your skills in creating more refined and larger pieces. We’ll cover more advanced shaping techniques, trimming skills, and surface textures based on your interests.

Class 2: Throwing larger (bowls, mugs, vases).
Class 3: Forms with lids.
Class 4: Closed Forms / Luminaries.
Class 5: Trimming and handles.
Class 6: Glazing.

This 6-week class is tailored for experienced potters who wish to focus on precision, detail work, and elevating their craft to the next level.
This is a fully customized class based on your interests. Example topics include closed forms, tea pots, and creating glazes from raw materials. Emphasis will be placed on refining your skills, achieving exceptional craftsmanship, and honing your unique style.

Open Studio offers dedicated time to work independently in a quiet, focused environment. Available to current and former students, these sessions are designed for continuing your practice at your own pace.
Studio time is booked in 1-hour blocks and can be used to throw, trim, or refine work in progress. This is a self-directed time, without formal instruction, but within a familiar and supportive space.
The cost of glazes and firing is included. Clay is available for purchase.
Sessions are available on Saturdays and Sundays by appointment.
